MENU-->PRODUCT GROUP & CATEGORY

Product Group can be used to group the categories.

Category can be used to group the items into categories such as starters, main course, etc. 

This document will help us understand how to create the Product Group & Categories.

Create and Update Categories into Product Group

STEP 1: Log in to DineConnect. Go to CONNECT --> MENU --> PRODUCT GROUP. The below page opens up and a list of all the existing Product Group is shown.

STEP 2: Click on the ADD ROOT UNIT. the below page appears. Here, can add the Code & Name of the Product Group & SAVE.

To link the Categories into the Product Group, click on the Product Group & click LINK CATEGORY and select the needed Categories there & SAVE.

Create and Update Categories

STEP 1: Log in to DineConnect. Go to CONNECT --> MENU --> CATEGORY. The below page opens up and a list of all the existing categories is shown.

STEP 2: Click on the CREATE CATEGORY button. the below page appears. Add the name, code of the category.

You can create a  group or add to the existing group from the same page. To select from the existing groups click on the drop-down. To create a new Group click on Add Or Edit and create a new group. 

An example of Groups can be veg and non-veg groups.

Click on SAVE.

STEP 3: To Edit or Delete the existing categories, click on DELETE/EDIT option under ACTIONS.
