Categories and Sub-Categories
Categories and Sub-categories are some of the important attributes to group the products/services available. These groupings are grouped for reporting purposes.
All the products available in the store can be categorized into different groups. The category section on Retail Plan can help us to categorize the products.
Sub Category can help us group the products in the category further.
For example, let's say, there are a bunch of women clothes. For this, we can create category tops and the subcategories can be denim, shirts, crop tops, etc.
CATEGORY
Create and Update Category
STEP 1: Go to the Category section, the following page appears. Here we can see the list of existing categories.
The existing categories can be Edited or Deleted by clicking on the respective actions in the ACTIONS Column.
STEP 2: To create a new Category, Click on CREATE CATEGORY button. This pop-up opens. Add the Name and Code to the Category.
STEP 3: Click on the Save button to save the Category.
SUB-CATEGORY
Create and Update Sub-Categories
STEP 1: To create the sub-categories, Go to the INVENTORY --> SUB-CATEGORY section. This page opens, which will have existing sub-categories if they are created earlier.
STEP 2: Now, to create a new subcategory, Click on the CREATE SUBCATEGORY button, this page opens.
Here, add the Name and Code to the sub-category. Then, select the Category to which this sub-category has to be associated.
STEP 3: Save the sub-category.
NOTE: These categories and subcategories will be associated with the product on the Product page.
