The promotion page allows us to create promotions or offers on the products. Different types of promotions can be created and these promotion types and methods to create them on Retail Connect will be discussed in this document.
Create and Update Promotions
STEP 1: Go to POS --> PROMOTIONS page on Retail Connect. This page opens, where you can see the existing promotions.
STEP 2: Now to create a new Promotion, click on CREATE PROMOTION button on the same page. This page opens.
STEP 3: Fill in the details asked on the page.
Name: Add a Name
Date Range: Select the date range when the promotion has to be active.
Member Group: If this promotion has to be applied to any particular group of people, select the group in the member group section.
Promotion Type: Select the promotion type from the drop-down. There are two types of promotions which are discussed later. Once the Promotion type is selected a new page (on the picture, Promotion by Qty) will be shown according to the type selected.
Hourly Promotion: If this promotion has to be applied only during a particular time period, select the time period.
Promotion Type
Promotion by Qty - This promotion type allows creating promotions on the item quantities. For example, discount on x number of item, x number of items at y price, etc.
2. Promotion by Price - This gives a flat percentage or value discount on the items.
STEP 3: After the promotion type is selected on the first page, depending on the type of promotion a new page will be visible, go to that page.
If the Promotion Type is Promotion by Qty, a page similar to shown below opens.
On this page, Select the Qty, add a price. Then, Select the Items and add the price if required, and Save.
In the example shown in the below picture, the promotion is to buy 1 get 1 free, where w have defined the price of two quantities of the item at the price of one.
Similarly, any promotion can be designed according to the requirement.
If the Promotion type selected is Promotion by Price, a page similar to the following opens. Here, select the item or department, or category. Add a promotion price or promotion percentage. Then Save the page.
NOTE: The promotions can be created in bulk using the export option.
The promotions can be edited or deleted using the required function in the Actions column.
