The DineConnect application offers a comprehensive screen menu creation process that allows users to map categories and menu items to specific screen menus. This technical documentation provides step-by-step instructions for creating screen menus and associating categories and menu items within the DineConnect application.
Screen Menu Creation and Mapping Process
The DineConnect application streamlines the process of creating screen menus and associating categories and menu items. This functionality enables users to present menu offerings in a structured and accessible manner.
Accessing Screen Menu Creation
On the left side of the dashboard, under the “Connect” option, click on the “Menu” option and select the “Screen Menu” option.
Creating a New Screen Menu
Select the " Create Screen Menu" button.
The "Create Screen Menu" screen displays. In the "Name" tab, enter the desired screen menu name.
And click the "Save" button to create the screen menu.
Mapping Categories and Menu Items
After creating the screen menu, it will appear in the list of saved screen menus.
To map categories and menu items, click on "List" in the same row as the screen menu you wish to map.
Creating a Screen Menu Category
The "Screen Menu Categories" screen displays, click on "Create Screen Category" button.
Enter the exact category name that you want to fetch items from in the "Name" tab. Then click "Save" to create the screen menu category.
After adding the category, clicking on "List" will display all items listed under that category within the screen menu.
Adding Screen Menu Items
To add additional screen menu items to the category, click on "Create Screen Menu Items" in the top right corner.
The "Create" screen displays. Use the search bar to find the desired menu item.
Select the desired menu, it will be added to the category. And click on "Save" button.
The newly added "screen menu item" will be added to the "new screen menu category."
