Raw Material Creation
The DineConnect application simplifies the process of creating and managing raw materials used in restaurant recipes. This technical documentation provides step-by-step instructions for creating raw material profiles within the DineConnect application.
Raw Material Creation Process
Creating raw material profiles within the DineConnect application is crucial for managing inventory, recipes, and procurement efficiently.
Log in to your DineConnect account.
On the left side of the dashboard, under the “Connect” option, click on the “Menu” tab and select the “Menu Item” option.
The "Menu Item" screen displays. Then click the "Create New Menu Item" button.
In the General Information tab
In the "General" tab of the raw material creation screen, enter the category for the raw material.
Provide the name of the raw material.
And select the "Raw material" that need to be added.
Change the product type to "Raw Material" (raw materials are used in recipes).
Note: That some items like soft drinks (e.g., Pepsi, Coke) are bought from suppliers and directly sold to customers; these can be marked as menu items.
In the "Portions" tab:
Define the portion of the raw material, specifying the unit of measurement (e.g., kg, liter, piece, packet, roll).
Enter the cost price, which is the price at which the raw material was bought from the supplier.
Click "Save" when you have entered all the necessary information for the raw material.
This action will create the raw material profile within the DineConnect application.
