DineFly Functions.
DineFly is a mobile application used by the restaurant staff to key in the orders using an android device such as a smartphone or a tablet. The Dinefly is linked to the POS when order is punched in the Dinefly app for any table it is updated in the POS system in real-time.
In this document, we will understand how to use the DineFly app to take orders and some of the other features.
DINEFLY TO TAKE ORDERS
STEP 1: Open the Dine Fly application and log in. A page opens up with tables to take orders as shown below.
NOTE:
The page will be similar to the POS module in the DinePlan POS. This page can be customized as required for the restaurant. These settings are done on DinePlan POS.
In the top right corner of this page, we can see the number of tables occupied and the number of tables empty.
STEP 2: Click on any of the tables to take order for that table and the following page opens up. On this page, the Menu is available.
You can select the items from the Menu. There is a search button as well to search.
The categories are displayed on the left column and the column is scrollable. The items in the selected category are visible on the right as shown in the picture.
NOTE:
You can toggle the display mode, using the Menu Icon. The two display options are as shown below.
You can also remove the category column by selecting the Toggle Category Menu from the Menu Icon.
STEP 3: Once you select any item from the Menu, the below page opens up. Here you can select the Portion size (if any), Select quantity, Add a note (if required), and if you prefer the item to be served later click on SERVE LATER.
Then click on the ORDER button to confirm the item.
STEP 4: Now the cart will appear on the Menu page, where the selected item will be visible. You can further add items to the cart by selecting the items from the Menu.
When you click on the cart, the cart will show the list of items as shown in the picture. Click on the SUBMIT button to confirm the order.
STEP 5: Once the order submitted the order summary page opens, which is shown in the picture below. Here the ticket note can be added if required. There is an option to add items again by clicking on the + button in the bottom right.
NOTE:
On this page, we can see the details of the table number, ticket number, amount, note, items, quantity, customer details, and waiter details.
There is an option to print the bill by clicking on the printer option at the top.
We can also change the table by clicking on the button in the top right corner.
KEYNOTES:
The orders can be edited anytime before closing the order.
Currently, DineFly opens the tickets and the orders can be taken/modified but has to be closed from the POS system after payment.
