MASTER --> Locations and Location Group

Locations are the outlets of the store. The locations are where the POS is established and the POS systems are connected to RetailConnect which is the central management system which is located at a central location/HQ.
The locations have to be created in the Retail Connect to access the location data store on POS.
Now let us see how to create and update locations on RetailConnect.
Create and Update Locations
STEP 1: Log in to Retail Connect. Go to MASTER module --> select LOCATION. The below page opens.
On this page, we can see the existing locations.
ID is the autogenerated identification code which system uses for identification purposes.
The company shows the company name to which organization the location belongs to.
The code is used for identification.
STEP 2: To create a new location, click on the CREATE LOCATION button on the top right. The below page opens.
STEP 3: Fill in the Basic Information as follows,
In the Company field, select the company name to which the location has to be associated from the drop-down.
AddLocation name and Code.
Select the Screen Menu which has to be visible on the POS. Read more about Screen Menu from here.
Add Location Address and Contact details.
STEP 4: Save the Location. Once you have saved the location, you can edit the location by clicking on the Edit action under ACTIONS.
You can delete any locations by clicking on DELETE.
NOTE: You can download the list of locations by clicking on the EXPORT button.
LOCATION GROUP
If there is a need to group location together, for example, if we have 10 locations and 3 of locations have a similar menu or same tax, then it needs to be grouped together. This section basically allows us to create location groups to group the location together.
Create Location Group
STEP 1: Go to INVENTORY --> LOCATION GROUP page. This page opens.
STEP 2: Click on CREATE LOCATION GROUP page. This page opens, add the Name and Save.
STEP 3: When there is a location group created, the Location group section on the Locations page opens. Select the required Location group and Save.
