USERS - Role List

On DinePlan POS, every user can have different permissions on POS. With different permissions, different users are allowed to access different modules on Dine Plan. 

In this document, we will understand different user permissions and How to create different roles and assign different permissions to these roles.

Create Roles

STEP 1: Go to BACKOFFICE --> USERS --> ROLE LIST. The following page appears.

 

STEP 2: To add a new Role, Click on ADD USER ROLE. 

Add a Name, Select the department, Select permissions (Permissions are explained in detail below), and Save. 

 

PERMISSIONS

NAVIGATION PERMISSIONS - These Permissions are mainly to log in to the different parts of the Dashboard on the POS. The below picture is the Navigation screen or the home page of the POS.

 

Open Navigation Screen

This permission to the Navigation screen. If this is not enabled the user directly enters the ordering page.

Open Front Desk

This will enable the FRONT DESK section on the navigation screen.

Open Reports

This permission enables the REPORTS section in the Front desk section and gives the user access to the Reports. We can further control which reports the user has access to.

Open Expense Income

This allows the user the permission to open and use the TILL TRANSACTION section.

Open Back Office

Enables the BACKOFFICE section to the user.

Open Workday

This enables the WORKDAY section on the Navigation screen.

Open POS

This enables the POS section on the Navigation Screen

Open Tickets

This enables the TICKETS section on the Navigation screen. 

Open Custom Reports

DEPARTMENT PERMISSIONS - Permissions to access different departments.

Departments

This permission is to Select the department for the user.

Change Department

To allow the user to switch between different departments this permission has to be checked.

WORKDAY PERMISSIONS - These are the Work Day and Work Shift related permissions.

Start of the Day

This permission will allow the user to start the Workday and then Work Shift.

Training

This enables the Traning buttons on the Workday page.

End WorkShift

This enables the End Workshift button.

End WorkDay

This permission allows the user to end the workday.

Reset Workshift

Reset workshift workshift button will be enabled and the user is allowed to make the changes in the settlement.
