PRODUCTS-Product List

Items and categories need to be created on POS to display on the ordering page. In this document, we will understand how to create Items on the POS

CREATE ITEMS

STEP 1: Log in to Dineplan POS and go to the "BACKOFFICE" section. 

 

STEP 2: Under the "PRODUCTS", Go to the "PRODUCT LIST" page.  You can see a list of all existing items under their respective Item-groups. 

 

STEP 3: On the right section, there are options to create, edit, or delete products. To create a new product Click on ADD PRODUCT, the following page opens.

 

STEP 4: Now, let us understand how to create the following,

  • Category: Pizza

  • Item: Corn Pizza

  • Portions: 1. Small - 100Rs.
                   2. Medium - 150Rs
                   3. Large - 200Rs

On this page, we have the following fields. Fill in the details in the respective fields.

NAME

The name of the Product

ALIAS NAME

You can specify the alternate name of the Product. This can be used for the printing in the Kitchen or dual language printing in the Receipt

ALIAS CODE

Unique code of the Product or we can call it as SKU

BARCODE

Barcode of the Product if any.

GROUP CODE

The Category of the Product.

TAG

This is used to create a Tag the products. This can be used for the Printing and so on

COURSE

This is mainly used in FINE-DINE restaurant to Mention the course of the Product.

FORCE QUANTITY

When it is true, it will be forced to ask the quantity in the POS while doing KeyBoard Billing.

FORCE CHANGE PRICE

When it is true, it will be forced to ask the price in the POS while doing KeyBoard Billing.

COMBO PRODUCT

This product will be treated as a COMBO PRODUCT.

Note: The COMBO PRODUCT SHOULD HAVE ONLY ONE PORTION

STEP 5: Fill in the details in the respective fields as shown in the picture and click on SAVE.

 

You can see the item will be added to the list.

 

STEP 6: You can Edit or Delete any item by selecting the item and then clicking on the respective action. 

NOTE:

  1. Change Sort Order button will allow us to change the sort order of the items.

  2. Export Template exports a template Menu Template, this can be used to add items in bulk.

  3. Locate Template located the templates saved on our system folder which was saved while installing POS on the system.

  4. To create items in the Bulk following steps.

STEP 1:  Export the Template.

STEP 2: Add the items and other details and Save the xls sheet.

 

STEP 3: Go to SETTINGS --> SETUP --> IMPORT. The page shown on right is shown on the right side. 

 

 

 

 

STEP 4: Select the saved .xls sheet and Import Menu.
