Vendor

Vendors are the businesses that provide Retail business owners with products/items for selling. The vendor section allows us to create vendors on Retail Connect. 

Business can make purchases with different vendors for different items, they can have their own payment or discount terms. Retail Plan allows to create and manage all these 

Create Vendors

STEP 1: Log in to the Retail Plan portal. Go to PURCHASE --> VENDOR section. Here, we can see the list of all the existing Vendors.

STEP 2: Now to create a New Vendor, click on CREATE VENDOR button.

STEP 3: Add the Vendor details as explained below.

• Vendor Code - A code for identification of the Vendor.

• Vendor Name - Add the Vendor Name. This can be a dealer name or a brand name.

• Email - An email address for contacting the vendor.

• Purchase Limit - This is optional, it can be used if we want to limit the purchase.  

• Discount Percentage - If the vendor gives a discount add the discount percentage here.

• Tax Exemption - To exempt the vendor from tax.

• Tax Registration No - Add the Tax Registration Number.

• Payment Terms - Select the Payment Terms created for this vendor. 

• Group & Sub Group - You can create or select the Group here if yo want to group the vendors in a particular fashion.

STEP 4: Add the Address and Save the Vendor.

This way we can create Vendors individually on Retail Plan. 

NOTE:

• You can create Vendors in Bulk. To do this, export a Template by clicking on the Export button as marked on the picture below. 

Using the Template, add the Vendor details on the sheet and Save the Sheet.

Then, import the Vendor list to the Portal by clicking on the Import option and selecting the required file and importing it to the portal. 

• The Vendor details can be edited by clicking on the Edit option, making required edits. It can be deleted by clicking on the Delete button.

• The UPDATE PRODUCT PRICING button takes us to the page as shown below. Here we can see the List of Products that this vendor supplies to the business along with the Prices.

Here we can update the Price of any/all of the Products listed and Save them.
