Displays and Display Groups
Displays are what the media content is to be displayed on. Each display requires its representation in DinePlay which can be created by accessing “Displays” under the “Play” menu.
2.1 Viewing a list of displays.
Select “Displays” from a list of Play menu items. A list of displays should be displayed

You may scope down the list of displays to show only the displays of specific plants. Click the “PLANTS” button on the top right corner of the list. A window containing a list of plants for you to select.

2.2 Creating a display
Click the “CREATE DISPLAY” button on the top right corner of Display List.

You should be redirected to the Display Information

Name: Enter the name of the display
Plant: Click to browse and select which plant the display belongs to.
Resolution: Click the dropdown list to select the created resolution as described in Chapter 1.
Mac Address: This textbox is meant to contain the Mac Address of the screen that this information represents. The Mac Address will be shown in this text box after the registration of the display via the client application. In most cases, this textbox does not require the user to provide input on this screen.
Enable?: The display can be set to be usable and ready to display the media content if assigned or to stop displaying any media content. To enable the display put ✓ in this checkbox or leave it unchecked to disable it.
You may add the display to a group or groups. This is useful when creating a scheduled event for multiple devices. To do this, go through the following steps.
Click the “ADD GROUPS” button to browse a list of display

To remove a selected group from the list of display groups on this page, click the icon in the right-most column.
Click the “SAVE” button to save the display’s information.
You may discard the creation of the display by clicking the “CANCEL” button.
2.3 Editing a display’s information
Find dropdown list in the first column of the grid in the display list page and click to expand.

Click “Edit” and you should be redirected to the display information page with display information displayed
Change details of the display info as needed.
Click the “SAVE” button. This should take you back to the list of displays.
Or click the “CANCEL” button to leave the screen without saving the changes you made.
2.4 Deleting an existing display
Click “Delete” from the dropdown.

The “Confirm” dialog box shows up.
Click “Yes” to confirm the deletion of the selected

Click “Cancel” not to continue and close the dialog box.
The deleted display should be removed from the list.
In case the displayed is being used in any scheduled events, another dialog box shows up. This means that the display cannot be deleted until it is removed from those scheduled events, or the events are deleted.

2.4 Creating a display group
A display group is used to put together displays to make media content broadcasting easier and more efficient. A group may represent a specific area where stores are located so that users can easily broadcast the content to stores in specific areas by creating a scheduled event and assigning it to the target group.
To view the display group list, select “Display Groups” from a list of Play menu items. The list of display groups should be displayed.

The user can view the members of each display group by clicking on the button in the first column of the display group grid and the displays that belong to the group will be displayed in the list on the right-hand side.

To create a display group do the following steps.
Click the “Add” button. This should bring you the display group information screen.

Code: Enter the code of the display group.
Name: Enter the name of the display group.
ADD DISPLAY: Click this button to browse a list of displays to add to this group.
Click the “SAVE” button to finish the creation of a display You should be redirected back to the display group list.
Or click the “Cancel” button to discard everything and go back to the display group list.
2.5 Editing display group information
Select a display group you want to change its information.
Click the “EDIT” button.

The display group information is displayed with its details.
Change the details of the display information as needed.
Click the “SAVE” button to save the changes you made.
Or click the “CANCEL” button to discard the changes.
2.6 Deleting an existing display group
To delete a display group, the steps are similar to editing that you first select the display group then click the “Delete” button.
The confirm dialog box shows up.

Or click “Cancel” not to proceed.
