Layouts

The layout is where you choose a template of how your media content is displayed on displays.
4.1 Viewing layout list
Select “Layouts” from a list of Play menu items. A list of layouts should be displayed.

4.2 Creating a layout
Click the “CREATE LAYOUT” button which can be found on the top right corner of the layout list.

The layout information screen is brought up.

Input details of the layout information.
General
Name: Enter the name of the layout.
Resolution: Select a resolution from the dropdown list.
Description: Enter the description of the
Content
Template: Select a template from the Template dropdown list.

Template preview is displayed when a template gets selected.
Click the “SAVE” button to save the template information.
Or click the “CANCEL” button to leave the screen without saving and go back to the layout list.
4.3 Editing a layout
Find dropdown list in the first column of the grid in the layout list and click to expand.

Click “Edit” and you should be redirected to the layout information page with layout information displayed.
Change details of the layout info as The template that is created at the time of template creation cannot be changed.
Click the “SAVE” button. This should take you back to the list of layouts.
Or click the “CANCEL” button to leave the screen without saving the changes you made.
4.4 Deleting a layout
Click “Delete” from the dropdown list.

The “Confirm” dialog box shows up.

Click “Yes” to confirm the deletion of the selected layout.
Click “Yes” to confirm the deletion.
Or click “Cancel” not to proceed.
If the layout is being used in any scheduled event you will receive another warning meaning that the layout cannot be deleted.

4.5 Managing content
Click “Manage Content” from the dropdown list. This takes you to the Manage Content screen.

On the Manage Content screen, there is a preview of the selected template. The template contains regions and each region has a browse button that you can click to select the content file.

Right under the preview of the template, there is a list of the selected content files.

In case you want to change the content media file, click to remove the selected file and reselect a new file by clicking the browse button that has the same number as the line number of the file list.
Click the “SAVE.
Or click the “CANCEL” button to leave the screen without saving the changes you made.
4.6 Previewing content
Click “Preview ” from the dropdown This takes you to the Content Preview screen.
Another way to access the Content Preview screen is by clicking the “PREVIEW” button from the Content Management screen.

Click the “PLAY” button to play video files or “GO BACK” to go back to where you were before this screen (Layout List or Content Management).
