Multi-Terminal Message, Sync
DinePlan is a Hybrid POS and it helps to run POS offline and when the connection is available, it syncs automatically
There are situations where we need to sync the terminals within the outlet. We have a tool called DinePlan Message Service which helps all the terminals connected via TCP Message.
This document helps to configure.
Note: This is the only outlet that has Multiple Terminals which need AutoLogout of POS on Day End, Refresh the Ticket
Install the MessageService Tool in the Server
The Installer is there at this location
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mVimvc_r8jMyBJ2Cdmq98gO4fAqZ5zx9/view?usp=drive_link
After extracting, run the following executable as below
The following Screen Appears
Make sure that the Correct Port is given and click Install Service
Once clicked, it displays as below and Please verify it from the Windows Services whether it got installed or not
That's it and the services are installed and we do not need to anything else except the folder should not be deleted.
Configuration on the POS Side
Every terminal should be properly configured as below to communicate
Go to BackOffice → Settings → Local Settings
Choose Field | Value |
---|---|
Message Server Name | IP of the Machine where the DinePlan Message Service runs |
Messaging Server Port | Port that's been chosen. |
Auto Start Message Client | Should be true |
Once we set all the values, just to check whether the connection works or not, we can click on the Start Client Now Button. The popup comes with the confirmation.
