Multi-Terminal Message, Sync

DinePlan is a Hybrid POS and it helps to run POS offline and when the connection is available, it syncs automatically

There are situations where we need to sync the terminals within the outlet. We have a tool called DinePlan Message Service which helps all the terminals connected via TCP Message.

This document helps to configure.

Note: This is the only outlet that has Multiple Terminals which need AutoLogout of POS on Day End, Refresh the Ticket

Install the MessageService Tool in the Server

The Installer is there at this location

  1. After extracting, run the following executable as below

Make sure that the Correct Port is given and click Install Service

  1. Once clicked, it displays as below and Please verify it from the Windows Services whether it got installed or not

 

 

 

 

 

That's it and the services are installed and we do not need to anything else except the folder should not be deleted.

Configuration on the POS Side

Every terminal should be properly configured as below to communicate

  1. Go to BackOffice → Settings → Local Settings

IP of the Machine where the DinePlan Message Service runs

Messaging Server Port

Port that's been chosen.

Auto Start Message Client

Should be true

  1. Once we set all the values, just to check whether the connection works or not, we can click on the Start Client Now Button. The popup comes with the confirmation.
