MASTER-->UNIT

Unit allow us to create different measurement units/standards for recording purposes. Example: Grams, kilograms for measurement of solid items, Liters for measurement of liquids. Pieces for finished products, etc.

Create Unit

STEP 1: Log in DINECONNECT. Go to HOUSE --> MASTER --> UNIT. The following page opens. 

 

STEP 2: On this page, you can create new units, edit/delete the existing units. Export the units to an excel document. 

STEP 3: To create a new unit, click on  CREATE UNIT. Below pop up will be shown. Add the name for the new Unit and click Save.

STEP 4: Once it is saved, the new unit will be created. Click the Unit Conversion button as highlighted below to configure the unit conversion for the unit.

STEP 5: The reference unit is the unit that the base unit can be mapped as a conversion factor.

For example, Consider a base unit is Dozen, and the reference unit is Pieces. Under the Conversion, the conversion should be 12. 1 dozen is equal to 12 pieces. Decimal Place Rounding is to set the number of decimals for the unit.

After filling the details click on SAVE.

NOTE:

  • The reference unit will be the unit that is used for conversion. 

  • Conversion times the reference unit will be base unit.

  • Ex: Base = Dozen, Reference unit = pieces, Conversion = 12
    12*pieces=dozen

  • 100*cm=meter

  • 1000*grams=kilogram
