PROMOTIONS
Promotions will help the restaurant run offers and discounts for their customers' benefit and as a marketing strategy.
Promotions in Dine Connect can be configured on combinations or individual of its conditions. Let us see how to create promotions on Dine Connect.
Create Promotions
STEP 1: Log in to DineConnect. Go to CONNECT --> PROMOTIONS. The following page appears.
On this page you will be able to see all the existing promotions, they can be filtered using date, type of promotion or locations.
STEP 2: Click on CREATE PROMOTIONS, the following page appears.
Here, we map the needed Locations & have to choose the Category (it can be created in Connect - Promotion - Category) and fill the Name of the Promotion.
We also have Promotion Type, where we can select any promotion type from available promotions in the dropdown.
In Date Range, Have to select date range between when the promotion has to work.
In Card Type, Choose the Card Type to validate for applying this promotion.
In Description, Can give some Remarks for Promotion.
In this Page, If we Tick These Options, it will work accordingly
Promotion will combine to work with other Promotions | |

Promotion will work beyond the Promotion Quota |
NOTE: General, Schedule and Restrict items are common information that has to be given for all the types of promotions other than this 4 common information, there are a few other information that is required with different promotions.
STEP 3: Let us understand about the Schedule. The Promotions can be restricted as described below.
It can be set between the Dates in General.
It can be set for the Specific Day (Monday, Tuesday, etc.) under WEEK.
It can be set for the Specific Day in the Month (1,2,3..) under MONTH.
It can be configured on Specific Time (6 AM to 10 PM) in the time slot.
STEP 4: Restrict Items, we can restrict items sold on the promotion by selecting the items. Click on ADDITEM and CLICK. Select the items from the page that appears.
STEP 4: For different promotion types different conditions has to be filled. The details are explained in its section.
Different Promotion Types
The promotion can be classified in three categories
Type1: Applying of Promotion will be done in the moment the items are added
Type2: The Promotion will be applied automatically or through a button, and applying promotion cannot be controlled. If the Basket has three promotions of Type2, it will be applied recursively until the basket has zero Promotion. Once the promotion is applied
Type3: The Promotion can be only applied or reversed through a button.
Type1 | The Price of the Items will have e lesser price.

Type2 | A certain product group/groups or category/categories or items can be given a fixed percentage discount

Type2 | A certain product group/groups or category/categories or items can be given a fixed percentage discount |
Type2 | Buy X quantity of Items, the user will have a selection to choose Y Number of Items as free |
Buy X Get Y at Z Value or Percentage Type2 | Buy X quantity of Items, the user will have a selection to choose Y Number of Items as Z value or Z percentage as a discount |
Type3 | There are situations, which the user will be asked to choose the Percentage of Discount on Producing the Documents. For Example, the Organization might have an option to give a 10% discount to Employees |
Type2 | We can free items for Every Bill on Conditions |
Type3 | Discount will be applied at the Bill Level |
Type3 | Discount will be applied at the Item Level when paid by spemode payment mode |
Type3 | Discount will be applied at the Bill Level when paid by specific pay mode |
Type2 | Buy X and Y quantity of Items, then the Price of the Items becomes a lesser price. |
Type2 | The Promotion can be applied to Quantities
