TABLE

In the POS, we need tables to take the orders. This table arrangement can be designed according to the requirement.  Examples of the different arrangements can be shown in the pictures below. 

 

 

NOTE: 

  • There are some attributes which we need to get familiarized with. We shall try to understand them with respect to an example.

  • GROUPS

  • TABLES

  • DEPARTMENT

 

The topics we will understand in this document will be,

GROUP

As shown in the picture, groups will have tables associated with them. Groups can be defined for covering different floors of the restaurant or different areas like indoor, outdoor, rooftop, etc. This document will help us understand how to create groups

Create Groups

STEP 1: Go to CONNECT --> TABLE --> GROUP. The following page opens up.

 

STEP 2: Click on +CREATE TABLE GROUP. Add NAME.

STEP 3: Link the tables associated with the group by selecting from the left column. Selected tables will be visible on the right column. Read from this link to know how to create tables.

STEP 4: Select the location from LOCATIONS. Click on SAVE.

 

NOTE:

  • The existing groups can be edited by clicking on the EDIT option under ACTIONS.

  • There is an option to export the list of groups by clicking in EXPORT. An excel sheet with all the groups will be downloaded.

 

  • There is an option to create tables in bulk using an Excel sheet. Follow the below-mentioned steps.

  • STEP 1: Click on the IMPORT button, below popup appears.

 

  • STEP 2: You can click on DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE, an excel sheet with a basic template for reference. You can edit the excel sheet with new values under the requested column and Save the excel sheet.

NOTE: If tables are not created, then tables will also be created.

 

  • STEP 3: Go back to Dineconnect, table group page. Click on IMPORT. Select the saved Excel sheet. Click on IMPORT.

 

  • Now tables and groups will be created, we can associate the group to the location by selecting the location to EDIT and adding the required location.

TABLES

In a restaurant, the customers occupy tables and the orders are taken on the tables. For reference purposes, these tables and table denominations become important. In this section, we will understand how to create tables.

Create Tables

STEP 1: Go to CONNECT --> TABLE --> TABLES. The following page opens up.

 

STEP 2: Click on CREATE TABLE, Add table and PAX.

 

STEP 3: Add the table created to any of the GROUP using the steps explained in the GROUP section.
