PROMOTIONS --> STEP DISCOUNT

Create Promotions
Log in to DineConnect -- Go to CONNECT --> PROMOTION --> PROMOTION, The following page appears.
On this page you will be able to see all the existing promotions, they can be filtered using date, type of promotion or locations.
BUY X GET Y AT Z VALUE OR PERCENTAGE - With this discount, when the customer buys item X we can give one item Y at a discounted price of Z.
STEP 1: Click on CREATE PROMOTIONS, the following page appears.
In General, Select LOCATIONS for which Location this promotion has to run.
Here, we have to fill Category and Name.
We also have Promotion Type, where we can select any promotion type from available promotions in the dropdown.
In Date Range, Have to select date range between when the promotion has to work.
In Card Type, Choose the Card Type to validate for applying this promotion.
In Description, Can give some Remarks for Promotion.
In this Page, If we Tick These Options, it will work accordingly
Promotion will combine to work with other Promotions | |

STEP 2: Let us understand about the Schedule. The Promotions can be restricted as described below
It can be set between the Date Range selected in General Tab.
It can be set for the Specific Day (Monday, Tuesday, etc.) under WEEK.
It can be set for the Specific Day in the Month (1,2,3..) under MONTH.
It can be configured on Specific Time (6 AM to 10 PM) in the time slot.
STEP 3: In Conditions, We can Map this Promotion with Total (Ticket Total), Department Group, Department, Member and Payment Type
Here you can define any condition to use the discount, for example, the Ticket Total must be greater than or equal to 100,...
STEP 4: Restrict Items, we can restrict the particular items for this Promotion by selecting the items. Click on ADDITEM and CLICK. Select the items from the page that appears and click SAVE.
STEP 5: PromotionQuota, Here, we can define the PromotionQuota
It can be define the count (5,10,15) have to apply the Promotion.
If Tick Each, keep the count separately to each locations.
It can be set for (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly) under Reset.
It can select the Locations (1,2,3..) under PLANTS/LOCATIONS.
STEP 6: STEP DISCOUNT, Under Step Type, you can select the type of discount it may be Quantity or Price.
Select the Product Group/ Categories/items/Portions.
NOTE: If not selected any Product Group/ Categories/items/Portions, This Promotion will apply for All.
Choosing Step Type -> Percentage
Tick “Apply for Each Quantity”
For example, if you buy Burger 55 Dollar per each
Buy up to 4 Burger for a full price of 165 Dollar, not discounted.
Buy 7 Burger from the full price of 385 Dollar to 378 Dollar (get 7 Dollar discount)
Buy 15 Burger from the full price of 825 Dollar to 795 Dollar (get 30 Dollar discount)
Buy 30 Burger from the full price of 1650 Dollar to 1633.5 Dollar (get 1% discount for each Quantity)

Once Promotion Configured in DineConnect, we have to sync from DinePlan to get the newly added or edited datas
Go to POS, add the Menu Items which is mapped with Step Discount Promotion
Now adding the item, it will display as shown in below Pic.
If click Pay, It will show the available promotions for this Menu Item and Here, choose Step Discount Promotion.
Once Promotion applied, In Payment Screen will get the Pop-up Message.
If we go to POS, System will display the Promotion Tag as shown in below Pic.
NOTE : Follow the above POS steps to the logic given below.
2. Choosing Step Type -> Percentage
UnTick “Apply for Each Quantity”
For example, if you buy Burger 55 Dollar per each
Buy up to 4 Burger a full price 165 Dollar not discounted
Buy 7 Burger from 385 Dollar to 384 Dollar (get 1 Dollar discount)
Buy 15 Burger from 825 Dollar to 823 Dollar (get 2 Dollar discount
Buy 30 Burger from 1650 Dollar to 1635 Dollar (get 15 Dollar discount)

3. Choosing Step Type -> Price
Tick “Apply for Each Quantity”
For example, If the price of the product is 49Dollar, there will be no discount.
If the price of the product is 50 Dollar or more but less than 100 Dollar (50 to 99), you will get 2 Dollar discount.
If the price of the product is 100 Dollar or more but not less than 500 Dollar (100 to 499), you will get 5 Dollar
If the price of the product is 500 Dollar or more than 500, you will get 2%

4. Choosing Step Type -> Price
UnTick “Apply for Each Quantity”
For example, If the total amount of bill (It will be based on the mapped menu items) is 49 Dollar, there will be no discount.
If the total bill amount (It will be based on the mapped menu items) is 50 Dollar or more but less than 100 Dollar (50 to 99), you will get 2 Dollar discount.
If the total bill amount (It will be based on the mapped menu items) is 100 Dollar or more but less than 500 Dollar (100 to 499), you will get 5 Dollar discount.
If the total amount bill is (It will be based on the mapped menu items) 500 Dollar or more than 500, you will get 2%
